A free reflection companion to the November 2026 issue of Life, Noticed.
Familiar routines can be comforting. When something changes unexpectedly, our first reaction may be resistance, disappointment, or simply the sense that this is not how it usually goes.
Leave a Little Room offers four short reflection prompts to help you notice what feels familiar, what comes up when something changes, what the change may reveal, and where curiosity might have a little more room.
There is nothing to fix and no expectation that you need to like every change. This is simply an invitation to notice your first reaction and leave a little space before deciding what the change means.
The Four Reflection Prompts
- What feels comfortably familiar right now?
- When something changes, what do I notice first?
- What did the change reveal?
- Where could I stay curious?
“I can prefer the familiar and still stay curious.”
